I wanted to come up with some kind of “peace prank” or meditation joke for today, April Fool’s.
But I wasn’t so clever.
Instead I remembered a soothing meditation I can share with you.
Balancing act
When we feel bad, it’s extra hard because our mind focuses on what feels bad - be it a body ache or a situation in our life or the world at large.
The only thing is . . .
There is also, at the same time, a kernel of peace available in each moment. This kernel may be as small as an acorn or grain of sand, but it is there.
The task and reward of meditation is to be able to notice both, the yuck and the zen. How can we juggle two opposite and different sized feelings, and then feel good?
That’s exactly what we explore in this guided meditation I recorded 2 years ago.
If you’ve been struggling with some tough times or feelings lately, give the meditation a try.
Thanks for some of your precious time and attention today.
In peace,
Juniper

Thank you to the First Nations of what is now called Western Montana: the Bitterroot Séliš (Salish), the Ql̓ispé (Kalispel), and the Ksanka (Kootenai) - you can read more about all 3 nations on their website.
I also want to give thanks to the Amskapi Piikani (Blackfeet) and the Apsáalooke (Crow) First Nations because I’ve been to and enjoyed their traditional homelands in recent years. Many thanks for your hospitality.
